The Summer University of Ontopsychology was structured in more than one week of conferences (from 12nd to 20th August) and promoted by the International Ontopsychology Association (IOA), the European Otopsychology Association (EAO) in cooperation with the Slavic (SOA) and Brazilian (BOA) Associations. Apart from daily conferences by the Accademic Professor Antonio Meneghetti – the founder of Ontopsychology – Professor Larisa Tzvetkova, Deputy Director of the Saint Petersburg State University (former dean of the Faculty of Psychology where the Ontopsychology Department has been operational for years) took the floor, as well as Professor Francesco Celani, an outstanding researcher at the Nuclear Physics Institute and Vice-President of the International Society for Condensed Nuclear Science, and Vladislav Baiborodov, eye micro surgeon of world fame and pupil of the modern ophthalmology father Svyatoslav Fedorov.
This year too the international public attending this specialized course was welcomed by the opening message sent by the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano as well as by ministers, deans, Heads of Faculties and representatives of cultural and political institutions. 12 official expressions of support to the event: in particular, the aegis of the Senate, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, the European Commission Representation in Italy, Sapienza University of Rome and the Perugia University, just like the local institutions (Umbria Region, Perugia Province and Assisi Municipality), the Saint Petersburg State University and the Antonio Meneghetti Faculdade in Brazil. The event was welcomed, this year, also by Australian universities, represented by two members of the International Scientific Committee which had chosen, last June at the Geneva UN headquarters, the winners of the Antonio Meneghetti Award 2011, established by the Antonio Meneghetti Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation in the fields of Medicine, Economics and Physics. The awards were celebrated in a ceremony which took place right on the first day of the Summer University.
“Ontology of perception” was the theme of the Summer University 2011, putting forward a simple, every-day technique of retrieval of that episteme which, even if it is invisible in itself, is perceivable in its effects, leading to exact science just like to winning business. It is precisely the retrieval of that universal elementary information, representing the foundation of any phenomenology, that stood as a central theme of the works, allowing the most well-trained minds to grasp the essence of evidence enlightened by Ontopsychology, a result which have been spreading worldwide for almost forty years.
Because – as Antonio Meneghetti explained in the final conference – “intrinsic to the first principle which founded us is the fact itself of ‘forcing us’ to find it”.
