The International Ontopsychology Association and the Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation Antonio Meneghetti (CH) organised and sponsored the presentation of the book “Psychotherapy for Ischemic Heart Disease”.
An Evidence-based Clinical Approach” (Springer, 2016), edited by Dr Adriana Roncella and Dr Christian Pristipino from “San Filippo Nero” Hospital in Rome. The book resulted from the work of 34 Italian and International authors (from the USA to the UK, from Brazil to the Netherlands).
The event was held on Saturday 29th October at Palazzo Ducale, in the charming medieval village of Lizori (Borgo San Benedetto – Campello sul Clitunno), in Umbria, Italy.
The book describes the benefits of psychotherapy – including the ontopsychological contribution – as an integrated approach along with medical and surgical therapies in the rehabilitation of patients with ischemic heart disease.
“Psychotherapy for Ischemic Heart Disease. An Evidence-based Clinical Approach” is currently available in English and can be purchased either as electronic or paper format: http://www.springer.com/it/book/9783319332123.
The project of this book was partially driven by Dr Adriana Roncella’s intention to allocate in this work the grant she received by the Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation Antonio Meneghetti winning the Meneghetti Award in 2014 (1).
The book presentation was coordinated by Adriana Roncella (cardiologist and psychotherapist), with the intervention of Maria Bonadies (psychotherapist), Oretta Di Carlo (psychotherapist), Marinella Spaziani (nurse) and the moderation of the journalist Flavio Incarbone.
During the day, the attendees had the opportunity to visit the medieval village of Lizori, enjoy the delicacies at the Bottega del Gusto, and watch a video conference by Professor Antonio Meneghetti on the topic “The relationship between consciousness and unconscious”.
